Cross-stitch Runes and Realms
Cross-stitch Runes and Realms Craft Workshop
Ever wanted to lovingly and possibly while swearing excessively create a piece of fabric art of one of the runes or realm glyphs? This is your chance!
Cross stitch is a cousin of embroidery, using a simple pair of crossed stitches (and sometimes more complicated partial stitches) to create an image, from a reference sheet or pattern.
This workshop is suitable for beginners. We’ll only be using one colour - black - and 14 count aida (this means there will be roughly 14 stitches per inch). You’ll take away a (most likely partially, unless you keep doing it all day!) finished item, with a needle, hoop, and enough thread to finsh up. I’ll also teach you my preferred method for finishing the back of a cross stitch project.
What do you need?
- the ability to do small, repetitive hand motions
- the ability to count and see small (ish) stitches
Everything else we can provide! There will be needles involved (small, blunt, but still needles) and scissors (small, sharp).
This session will run for two hours (the start time is correct) and will be sharing the Rooms of Thorn with other craft sessions and activities.
