Synod often weighs in on foreign policy, either in response to news of perceived opportunities or trying to create them. In order to use the tools of state effectively to get what you want, Virtue says, first, know what you want.

Questions we’ll be looking at answering over the course of the session include, but aren’t limited to:

• When is a Statement of Principle useful in directing or changing foreign policy, and how?
• Do mandates work abroad?
• How can priests most effectively engage with foreign polities, and what do we need to remember when we’re doing it?
• Should we spread the Way of Virtue at all?
• Heresy, Clemency, and the balance of tolerance - how far is too far?

This is primarily an informal seminar style session, and attendees discussing and arguing is welcomed and encouraged.
