Specific Dietary Requirements
Gluten-free
- We will be keeping one of the ovens “coeliac-friendly” and use it only for the preparation of non-gluten-containing food.
- You will have alternate biscuits and cookies/cakes/desserts (ASDA FreeFrom range)
- You will have alternate pasta (maize and rice flour) and garlic bread.
- The oatmilk used will be gluten-free (Oddlygood) and we will be using gluten-free oats for the oatmeal. There are potato waffles available to top things with.
- Saturday lunch you can have extra poppadoms/rice instead of a naan.
- For the conference dinner gluten-free dinner rolls, chicken and yorkshire puddings are available, and the salmon option is gluten-free.
- There will be gluten-free buns for chilli dogs.
- The tomato packet soups are gluten-free, and we will have gluten-free bread available.
- There will be individualised butter packets for avoiding crumbs in the communal spread.
Dairy-free
- Generally, most things on the menu should be dairy-free. This includes the garlic bread, the korma, and the biscuits.
- You will need to stick to the dairy-free desserts (donuts and yumyums are fine, cookies and muffins are not).
- The yorkshire puddings at the Conference Dinner have dairy in, but they are self-serve and the condiments are swappable (the gravy, cream sauce and hummus are dairy-free).
- The instant hot chocolate contains milk. There will be dairy-free drinking chocolate available.
- There will be smoked tofu available in place of the halloumi.
Other allergies/intolerances
- Coconut: The korma on Saturday lunch contains coconut. A coconut-free dairy-based sauce will be available, to which you can add your own spice. The cream sauce intended for the salmon at the Conference Dinner also has coconut - it is self-serve and there will be other condiments available (gravy, yorkshire puddings, hummus).
- Jasmine: There will be some green tea bags containing this. Avoid them.
- Mushrooms: Don’t have the Mushroom Wellington option for the Conference Dinner, and don’t ask for a mushroom for Sunday brunch. There will also be some mushroom packet soups (there are other soup options available).
- Meat/Fish: There is no meat in this menu. The only fish is the salmon option at the Conference Dinner.
- Lentils: Please ask for the lentil-free meatballs option on Friday.
- Alcohol: There is no alcohol in this menu. If you additionally cannot consume vinegar, see “Grapes” below.
- Grapes: Please ask for the meatballs option on Friday, as it will not contain balsamic vinegar by default. Also avoid using balsamic vinegar as a condiment, and avoid any grapes as dessert/snack option.
- Thyme: The meatballs option on Friday will not have italian herbs added by default.
- Strawberries/Grapefruit/Other fruit: Avoid as a dessert/snack option. You may also wish to use the individualised butter packets to avoid jam traces.
- Egg: The dessert muffins contain egg (the yumyums don’t). The yorkshire puddings contain egg (you can swap to other condiments). The dinner rolls contain egg (you can have bread instead). The hot dogs on Sunday contain egg (we will save you sausages from the night before).
- Nuts: There are no nuts in this menu. We will be asking all players and crew not to bring nuts on-site. If your nut allergy is very severe, please check all packets for “traces of” labelling - we should have enough certified FreeFrom stuff to accommodate you.
Sensory Sensitivities
- There will be a dairy cream-based no-spice alternative to the korma on Saturday lunch. You can add as much or as little of the korma as you want to this.
- The “chilli dogs” on Sunday do not actually contain any chilli spice. If this still puts you off, you can just have a hot dog.
- We will have a stack of bread, ramen noodles, cup soups, and macaroni cheese for people who want to eat things outside of mealtimes.
- There will be baked beans and cheese available at short notice for people who want to opt out of the protein part of any of the meals.
